Managing a federal workplace drug testing program requires regulatory knowledge, sound judgment, and consistent oversight. Your decisions affect employee privacy, testing integrity, agency accountability, and workplace safety.

Drawing on firsthand federal drug and alcohol program management experience, FDTS training helps new and experienced program managers understand their responsibilities and address the challenges of daily administration.

Build practical knowledge of:

  • Executive Order 12564, Public Law 100-71, and the HHS Mandatory Guidelines.

  • Your agency’s drug-free workplace plan and its relationship to the federal Model Plan.

  • Testing Designated Positions and applicable testing requirements.

  • Collection procedures, accurate documentation, confidentiality, and service provider oversight.

  • Recognizing and addressing errors that compromise program integrity.

  • Maintaining program continuity when staff resign, retire, transfer, or are otherwise unavailable.

Build a program that remains consistent, accountable, and effective through personnel changes and everyday challenges.
